The holidays find us busy with the excitement of preparing our homes and hearts for family gatherings and gift-giving. This magical time of year creates an opportunity to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for while being surrounded by those dearest to us. However, some find these celebrations cause for worry as they may not have the resources to give their children or elderly parents a homemade holiday meal or small gift. Along with your support, the City of Scottsdale, and Vista del Camino, we can provide help for low-income families in Scottsdale.
If you would like to give in other ways to Vista del Camino, below are additional opportunities:
Donation Items Needed
Vista del Camino will have an information and donation drop-off booth at Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market Nov 21, Nov 28 and Dec 5.
The Vista del Camino Food Bank provides monthly food boxes and homeless walking bags to Scottsdale residents and persons experiencing homelessness. If you would like to donate items from the Food Bank Wish List please bring those items to the market Nov 21, Nov 28 and Dec 5 and drop them at the Vista del Camino booth. There will also be information available at the booth for the Adopt-A-Family and Back to School seasonal programs.
Donations can also be dropped off Monday – Friday during normal business hours at Vista del Camino, 7700 E Roosevelt St, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
Adopt-A-Family in Scottsdale for the Holidays
The Adopt-A-Family seasonal program welcomes all individuals, families, and organizations to take part in this charitable and meaningful event. Vista del Camino will match anyone who wishes to participate with a local, pre-screened, Scottsdale family that has come to them for assistance. Donors are then given basic information about their adopted family along with a wish list and instructions on how to proceed with drop-off of the items once collected.
Monetary donations can be made online or mailed to Vista del Camino’s address.
