Letters to Santa
November 30 - December 7
In addition to all the festivities planned for Scottsdazzle 2019, the City of Scottsdale introduces a special element to keep the magic alive and well for children of all ages.
From Saturday, November 30 through Saturday, December 7, a special mailbox will be stationed at the Main Street and Brown Avenue Christmas tree, where parents (or their children) can drop letters to Santa, and in turn arrange to have their children receive a letter from Jolly Old St. Nick himself.
Letters must be on one of the two templates provided below in order to receive a response. Parents are welcome to submit on behalf of their children, and they must be deposited into the special mailbox only. No stamp needed, just fold it and place it in the mailbox for Santa! It’s that easy.
Once children or parents submit their notes to Santa via his special mailbox, they’ll be whisked away via “seasonal snail mail” to the North Pole where Santa himself will send personalized notes back to the good girls and boys who’ve requested his letters!
Other opportunities to write letters to Santa, or drop them off, will happen on November 30 when the Letters from Santa station and mailbox will be briefly moved to the Scottsdazzle Holiday Sing-Along and Tree Lighting event at the Scottsdale Waterfront from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In addition, the mailbox and Santa Station will be available during the Sugar Plum Avenue festival along Fifth Ave. on Saturday, December 7 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Children can expect their letters from Santa to arrive in their own mailboxes the week of December 16.
